Spay and Neuter Program

Eligibility

  • You must live in Toms River or a nearby community that does not have its own TNR program available.
  • When appointments are limited, Toms River residents will be a priority. Eligible communities may change due to TNR program availability and other criteria. Please call or email us for current community eligibility.
  • The cat that you need to have altered is a feral or stray community cat that is unowned, and at least 3-4 months old.
  • You must have a place for the cat to recover, separate from any personal pets.
  • You must be able to drop off and pick up the cat from the clinic.
  • You must use a trap or hard carrier for transporting the cat to and from the clinic. No soft carriers allowed (for everyone's safety).
  • You must be able to trap the cat the day before your appointment and ensure they do not eat after 8 pm.
  • You must be able to pay the $25 per cat prior to receiving a spay/neuter code.

Make An Appointment

  1. Use  the "Contact Us" section of our home page, email us at saverescuespayneuter@gmail.com, or call us at (732) 281-8652. Volunteers are in daily to check messages and return calls/emails.
  2. A  volunteer will ask you for the cat's description, sex, and to provide a name for the cat for the purpose of identification at the clinic.
  3. Available dates will be given to you for you to choose from.
  4. The volunteer will organize payment with you ($25 per cat).
  5. Once you have made payment, you will receive a code and which veterinarian you will take the cat to, along with drop off and pick up information.
